### Sources and methodology

#### Judge.me company statistics

First-party data reported by Judge.me about active stores, reviews collected and merchant sales volume. Stores are counted individually, so these figures should not be relabelled as unique merchants. Rounded counters are lower bounds; the JSON download distinguishes exact source values from company-provided lower bounds.

[Read how reviews are verified](https://judge.me/help/en/articles/8376284-verified-reviews)

#### Store Leads

Store Leads is an independent ecommerce data provider that detects apps used by live Shopify stores. Review-app share compares stores where Judge.me is detected with stores using at least one app in its product-reviews category. Shopify Plus share compares Plus stores using Judge.me with all live Plus stores in the same dataset. Detection counts may differ from Judge.me’s company-reported active-store count. Shopify Plus status identifies a platform plan, not a merchant revenue band.

[Read about Store Leads data](https://storeleads.app/help/faq/what-data-is-available-for-domains)

#### Shopify app rankings

Store Leads compares Shopify apps by merchant review count and detected installations. “Most reviewed” refers to the number of app reviews. “Most installed” refers to apps covered by its detection, which does not capture every installation.

[View the Store Leads Shopify report](https://storeleads.app/reports/shopify)

#### Shopify App Store

The Shopify App Store hosts the public Judge.me app listing, where merchants rate and review the app. The rating shown here describes the app itself, not the customer reviews collected by merchants.

#### Using these figures

Use each figure with its label, definition and source. Company-reported activity and third-party app detection measure different things and should not be treated as interchangeable. Contact the media team for clarification or further methodology.
